Norman Wilkinson was born in Cambridge, and studied
art at Portsmouth and Southsea Schools of Art. After World War I,
he emerged as 'one of the best known poster designers in the country',
working for shipping and railway companies. He was a keen yachtsman. His
marine paintings are considered his best works. .Wilkinson was elected
President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.. He was
also a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
This watercolor is in beautiful condition,
expensively matted and framed. The sky draws in the viewer's eye.
