This oil painting was produced in Gaylordsville,
CT, in Mora's home and studio. Rosemary Mora is about a year old, 1919. Baby Rosemary
has kicked off her Mary Jane shoe, adding amusement to this intimate
scene. She is probably eating cereal
(the bowl and milk are on the counter.) The painting has been cleaned and restored.
There was paint loss on the bottom left, that removed the artist's
signature. The painting was restored and cleaned. It has been stamped
with the registered signature stamp lower left and the estate stamp on
verso. This painting was published in Lynne Pauls Baron's biography of
the artist, F. Luis Mora: America's First Hispanic
Master.
